Shotokan Karate Club (JKA-SKC)

Superb! I traveled through Australia in March 2026 and wanted to keep up my karate training. I also wanted to get my orange belt as soon as possible after returning to Germany. So I needed a dojo... And here I found it! I felt very welcome, even though it was clear I wouldn't become a member. The training was great, and Sensei Shamyla helped me at my biggest "red flag": Kokutsu dachi... ;) I took your tips into account, so now I turned orange - also thanks to you. :) But I still need to work on it; my Kokutsu was good for lower grades, but I need to improve for middle grades. And I still take your advice to improve "my personal red flag" to heart :) Shamyla: Thank you so much! My orange belt is also thanks to you. Your offer to train with you once more on saturday was so nice! If I haven't had already other plans that day, I would've come. You and all your members are very welcome to train in Würzburg if you ever visit. :)

After comparing a few karate options in the area, we are so glad we chose this club. From the very beginning, Shamyla has been an outstanding trainer - she strikes the perfect balance between being firm and supportive, which really motivates the kids to do their best. The club has a warm and friendly community. My son enjoys every lesson and always looks forward to going. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great karate club!

Our son had tried two other classes since he was five but never really enjoyed them—until we found this one. From the very first session, he was hooked. Both he and our daughter looked forward to every class, and it’s been amazing to see how much they’ve grown in confidence, coordination, and focus. A special thank you to Shamala, who is warm, encouraging, and truly connects with the kids. Her positivity made all the difference, and she created such a welcoming environment for our family. We're honestly so sad to have moved away—it’s rare to find a place that gets kids this excited to learn and grow.

My son has been with this club for many years and enjoys it so much. He has made so many friends. It’s like a big happy family. Shamyla is so patient and kind and training is always fun. I highly recommend this club especially if you’re a beginner.
