I really enjoyed my first 10 weeks here. As a complete beginner, I found María’s teaching method very easy to follow. She focuses on making everyone feel comfortable with the language, and before you know it, by the end of the term you can see how much progress you’ve made. That said, your progress also depends a lot on your own effort. Practising in your own time and completing the homework properly (without relying too much on AI or Google translate) makes a big difference. Overall, a great experience and a very supportive learning environment. I’m keen to start the new term soon.

I’ve been doing a beginner in-person group class with Spanish Blackboard and it’s been a really great experience so far. Our teacher, Maria, is very engaging and professional. She explains concepts clearly and always makes the classes interesting and interactive. I’ve already learned a lot and feel much more confident with the basics. After starting my learning in Spain, I was worried trying to learn Spanish in Australia wasn’t going to be effective. But my private Spanish Blackboard lessons with Lucía have proven me wrong. I am genuinely improving because the structure and pace is the perfect balance of challenging but not overwhelming. Lucía is so so encouraging and inspires me to keep learning (even when I’ve made the same grammatical mistake for the 3rd time 😂). I really enjoy the Spanish courses at Black Board Academy. This is my second term. Adriana (español) is a really fun teacher. She is super engaging while also keeping us on our toes.
