Sports Karate Australia

My son had difficulty communicating and always come home from school crying. When I notice this, I put him on so many after school activities including Bmx, swimming, hip hop and more -anything that use up his energy, make him sweat and most of all laugh. He was hard to teach, coaches/trainers had a tough time and I can see he was too. My husband found Sport Karate Australia (SKA) brochure at school and (I think) it says ‘3 days trial free’- I can’t remember. We used up the free lessons and left it for a couple of months before deciding to throw money at it. What stand out with SKA amongst the rest of all after school extracurricular activities was that SKA was not an hourly rate, instead they give us a choice of different level of membership. My husband choose the highest level allowing my son to show up everyday and as many training as he wanted - and I am glad, because not long afterwards he was diagnosed with ADHD. In many ways, SKA help not only use-up his endless energy supply but also their daily training and guidance help him through his tough times, gave him confidence and goal he can stride for everyday. Then there’s the unexpected leadership skills transforming my son into happier being. He was 6 years old when he join the club. ❤️❤️❤️
Cannot rate this organisation highly enough. My 5 y/o has gone in leaps and bounds after only 3 sessions, (and this after having completely lost interest in karate in a previous center). Interactive, fun, informative, social, and the sensei's are next level in their engagement with the children, their teaching and inclusion. If you are considering a PROPER sports Karate, this is your or your child's place! Thanks for such high quality Sensei's!!!
Really enjoy the sense of family in the club. Everyone encourages each other to do better without it becoming a contest. Some of the training is hard but the instructor always has a ready ear and willingness to help those that need or request it.
My boys started here when they were 4 and 6 and really love it. Sensei Paris has a lot of patience for the little ones and makes each lesson fun. Definitely recommend.
Fantastic air conditioned dojo fully kitted out with quality equipment! Enjoyable place to workout and learn. Great instructors too, especially Scott who runs the Saturday family class!
