My 5yo and 6yo children swimming skills has improved tremendously since changing swimming schools to come here. I find the instructors are very well trained and my children are more focused here. And their skills are improved every week. They love their teachers and look forward to coming to class, and during the week, asking for more lessons so we have to bring them to the pool to practice their skills. Would love to give credit to Asha who has been incredibly kind, encouraging and supportive to my son who has additional needs. She brings the most amazing energy every single lesson! Thank you all, including supervisors and admin staff who are so helpful.
We have been attending State Swim for the past year, and it has been the best swim school experience we’ve ever had. The classes are small, well-structured, and highly instructive, which has made such a difference in my son’s confidence and progress. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in each child’s development. They consistently provide helpful feedback, which I really appreciate as a parent. The overall quality of the program is outstanding. I truly have nothing negative to say. I would highly recommend State Swim to any family looking for high-quality swimming lessons.
Been here for around a year in Waterbabies 1. The classes have been amazing for development for my bub but in particular the instructor Asha. She is a Gem and has been so good for our little one. If you want a very bubbly instructor for your bub then Asha on a Sunday morning is amazing.
We have been with Ellenbrook State Swim for 9 years, and overall it has been a great place for my child to build confidence and develop strong swimming skills. The program has really helped our child feel comfortable and capable in the water. There are some truly outstanding instructors—special mention to Liana, Mya and Zoe, who have been exceptional in their care, professionalism, and teaching ability. However, the experience has been impacted by a staff member Jasmine O, who did not adequately consider (twice) my child’s health needs or direction I had given my child. This is disappointing and detracts from an otherwise positive environment. Please watch how staff treat your child.
I do not recommend State Swim based on our recent experience. Both of my kids have attended for some time. A year ago, the staff and supervision were great, but things have definitely changed. In a 45-minute class, actual supervisor seems to be only around 10–15 minutes. For the rest of the time, supervision is either minimal or entirely absent. Supervisor occasionally assess students in the Kindy or Torpedo classes most of the time, neglect the other class. . When we try to ask questions, staff often avoid or ignore us, which makes it uncomfortable to follow up. Despite being told repeatedly that our children are doing well, they have remained in the same level for nearly two years with no clear feedback or progression plan. At around $30 per class, this is simply not acceptable. We initially had high hopes, but unfortunately, the lack of communication, inconsistent supervision, and unclear progression have left us disappointed.
