We started at State Swim Kewdale this year - what a lovely group of people! The coaches are very skillful and friendly, and have been great at motivating my 11yo son, improving his swimming technique and keeping him interested in the squad format. I really like the option to do a trial swim session and assessment to find the right-fit class. The pool and facilities are very clean and modern, with easy parking as well. I have found the services to be flexible and I appreciate how responsive Kayla has been to our questions. Strongly recommend!
We’ve had a fantastic experience at State Swim Kewdale, and a big part of that is thanks to Kelly. My son, Henry, absolutely loves her lessons—he always comes home talking about how much he enjoys her classes and looks forward to each session. Her positive energy and encouraging approach make a big difference. As a parent, I really appreciate the effort Kelly puts into her teaching. She goes above and beyond to support and motivate the kids, celebrating even the small milestones. That kind of encouragement has helped Henry stay excited and engaged in his learning. Since starting with Kelly, Henry has achieved both his Merit and Marlins levels. He previously had a year of private one-on-one lessons at another school, but we’ve seen even better progress at State Swim. We’re incredibly happy with the program and so grateful to Kelly for her dedication. State Swim is lucky to have such a wonderful instructor!
A wonderful team of experienced and patient swim instructors, and an amazing leader - Renee - who goes above and beyond checking in on students progress. It’s such a personalised experience and everyone is friendly and helpful. The facility is great - love that it’s new and clean, and there’s lots of room to move. Having been to two other swimming schools, this has been the best experience.
The instructors are patient, knowledgeable, and really attentive to each swimmer's needs. My only note is that the clocks tend to run about 5 minutes slow, which is a bit confusing for timing, which i hope the center can fix it in no time. But overall, quality of instruction more than makes up for it.
Sincere and hanrdworking instructors but useless management. Today in Torpedos class one new enterant started crying as he enetered water. Supervisor was informed the very first minute but instead of taking the baby or inviting another trainer he asked Instructor to hold the kid in her lap 😁🫣 The poor trainer had to hold the baby in her lap all through the session. Torpedoes need continous support and leg shuffle by the instructor but she cld only use her one hand and half the attention. After watching the drama for 10 minutes I walked to reception and requested interference as it was simply the wastage of time and money. She said she will call supervisor. Another 5 minutes later one supervisor came to me and instead of helping tried to explain how busy all supervisors are and hence instructor has to carry the kid irrespective of her not been able to give full attention. Another parent felt the same and raised concerns with management but my time was over so I chose to walk out.
