Stromlo Leisure Centre

We really liked this place. The facilities were great, and we had a very good experience overall. It would have been even more amazing if there had been a sauna and spa.

Excellent leisure centre with modern facilities and a great atmosphere. The pools are clean, the staff are friendly, and everything is very well maintained. Perfect place for swimming, workouts, or spending time with family. Highly recommend for both locals and visitors!

Best pool in Canberra. Clean, modern and easily accessible. One modern feature is wash of the chlorine of you at the pool side. The change room are warm and well designed / user friendly. There lots of parking. But the place is always busy.

My first visit to this facility from Mid North Coast NSW. I really enjoyed my swim in spite of trepidation (unfamiliarity, difficulty with walking, unaccompanied). Assistance with directions given at reception desk. Toilet in entry foyer separate. Plenty of change room options and access, showers beside the pool to rinse off. Chairs to leave belongings in view. Entry to the 50m pool easy, and shared lane with one swimmer only late morning. Lanes designated by ability. Water temperature 27 deg C and clean. Change room showers timed, allowing for soap up then warm rinse off. Exit to the café for refreshments before returning to free parking. Easily managed despite disability.

It's a great place for the splash pad, swimming laps or visiting the physio, but the swim school is pathetic. We enrolled our 3 kids about 3 months ago and every single week we've had at least one class cancelled due to "staff shortages". Imagine trying to take 3 kids to a swimming pool and telling one of them they can't swim like their 2 other siblings because their class was canned. As such, we decided to call up and cancel 2 of our 3 kids, explaining that the constant cancellations were too much. First week of only having 1 enrolled, get a call, class cancelled. He's in 1 of 3 of the same class, so starting to feel like its personal... If you want your child to learn how to swim, go somewhere else.
