Surrey Park Swimming - Blackburn

We have been taking our baby/toddler to Surrey Park Swimming for a few years now and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The classes provide a great balance of fun and educational swimming for the little ones. Shout out to the teacher Cassie who is so amazing with not just our baby but all those who attend. She is a gem. Thanks Surrey Park!

Out of all the companies we deal with for our kids extracurricular, Surrey Park is a cut above the rest - the kids are assessed really thoroughly and routinely meaning we can pinpoint their development needs and pair it with targeted extra programs over the school holidays - the lead instructor Kyle is a pro and together with all the teachers, really responsive to feedback and able to handle parents well! - the systems, processes and policies all make sense and are community minded Thanks Kyle, Michael, Bea, Naomi and all the other teachers we’ve had over the years!

Best swim school in town. The teachers are so passionate and professional— is an understatement. The program is well structured and feedback is well given. Proper scoring for levelling up the kids is available in an app. Seamless check in for each lesson. Great shower and changing facilities. Place is always kept clean and tidy. Great programs for each term and during school holidays.

I can’t recommend the instructor Abbey highly enough ! My son has a lot of fun with her in the lesson and gets more confidence with swimming. She is the best. Her patience and passion for teaching make my son love the swimming! We are so lucky to come here and have Abbey as his instructor!

Not really highly recommended for swimmers. Would give it more stars but there are things to fix.. The showers are warm, which is very good. But no privacy at all. We shower right next to each other… changing room in the same space. The waiting space is too tight. There are no play pools or practise zones to swim in. Instead, we have to doomscroll to amuse ourselves. Changing room near the waiting room. But it’s too sus where it is! You can literally see over the top of the changing areas! And it gets worse. You could be stranded inside the building in the dark if you stay for a little too long. They don’t come in to check for stragglers. They just turn iff the power and leave. Furthermore, I see teachers helping only one student for 2 minutes, then the next, then the next. Takes about 2 minutes to explain what they are doing, too. In total, in a class of 3 students, each student can only practise for about 9 1/2 minutes each PER WEEK. Not recommended to come here. Go to Aqualink Box Hill instead. Better quality and better privacy and practice + play areas.
