I joined recently and I love it so much! The instructors make sure they have corrected you if you have done something wrong so you can get it perfectly and they also tell you when you are doing something really well! It is so much fun because we get to do something different every week, all of the gymnasts and instructors are so nice and welcoming! I love this gym it is so cheap and convenient! 100% in love!
We were recommended by a friend who’s child attends and love this place. Master 5 started at the beginning of 2021 and looks forward to his weekly classes. His coach is very engaging, flexible and firm when he needs to be, which is suitable for coaching HYPER LITTLE BOYS. There’s a huge range of classes on weekdays and weekends! Ahem…..THANK YOU FOR THINKING OF WORKING PARENTS….. not all places do! The website, payment and booking system, in person and online works well for us and there’s always someone at the desk to answer your questions. There’s parking on site. Alternatively you can park in surround areas.
My 5-year-old daughter attended Swan Districts Gymnastics, but unfortunately she was quite unhappy during her classes. I had hoped it was just a momentary phase, so I paid for the term during one of her sessions. Only a few minutes later, she became very distressed and told me she did not want to continue. Within five minutes of making the payment, I approached the receptionist to explain the situation and asked if I could receive a refund or at least transfer the credit to another child. I was told this was not possible due to their policy. I completely understand that businesses need policies, but I felt very disappointed that no consideration was given to the circumstances—especially as it involved a young child and the payment had only just been made. Nearly $300 is a significant amount, and I believe some flexibility or goodwill would have been fair and reasonable. I’m sharing this so other parents are aware of the policy and my experience. Unfortunately, based on this interaction, I cannot recommend the centre.
Most of the staff and coaches here are lovely and my daughter really enjoyed gymnastics to start with. But then unfortunately after a staff resignation we ended up being left with the Abby Lee Miller wannabe coach who im assuming is Leanne based on other people's reviews. You would think she is training for the next Olympics with her behaviour and not a 5 year olds RECREATIONAL gymnastics. My daughter was clearly distressed by her treatment visibly crying from afar. When I tried to call her over to the parents area to comfort her, Abby the second was yelling at her to not leave the area which I am not ok with. I am not going to leave my daughter in the care of an unsafe adult and to not trust her gut when an adult is harrasing her. She even yelled out at another staff to "deal with mum" who then proceeded to gaslight me for the reason my daughter crying because apparently being able to see me upsets her because she is worrying about me. Maybe they need to leave the coaching to people who know how to respectfully teach preschoolers.
I had a horrible experience with swan districts gymnastics. I had to pull my daughter out of the states team due to Leanne being so abrupt and rude it made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome. I do not recommend this gymnastics at all. They only care about money and not the individual.
