Gorgeous space with lots of bright dance studios. Clean locker room and well organized staff. Photos of outside public spaces are limited out to respect to the students’ privacy within the classes but it’s easy to see its chic modern finishes. Dancers of all levels seemed welcome! Entrance has to be accessed by walking midway along the exterior—not thru the first entrance visible along the street.

Highly recommend children’s holiday workshops. Staff are lovely. Booking on the third party app can be somewhat tricky, so definitely confirm your booking by phone and email to ensure your children have been allocated sessions. Everything is super organised once you’ve confirmed the booking, and staff are very nice. The programs tend to run from 10am to 4 so that can be a bit of a challenge for busy parents. There is a café children 8 and over are allowed to buy snacks from (but not to purchase a full lunch). I didn’t know on day one of the program. It’s a surprisingly great café in a stunning setting. My children shared a milkshake and declared it two thumbs up. Public transport is by bus or Barangaroo Metro, but there is plenty of parking. The walk to Barangaroo is beautiful. All around a quality program in an incredible location with good amenities.

Fantastic spaces for classes. A good looking cafe and bistro all houses in a refurbished warehouse on the shores of Sydney Harbour. I was lucky enough to see their latest production Somos set in the studio. Up close and personal with the dancers. It was a really wonderful experience.

Outstanding ballet teachers, facilities, and staff! I’ve been attending SDC since I moved to Sydney over six years ago and absolutely love it. The unlimited classes membership is also great value for money, especially if you attend four or more classes a week.

I understand and accept the 15-minute late policy — I arrived 18 minutes late, so that part is on me. What was unacceptable was how I was treated. It took me 1 hour and 11 minutes to get there due to Easter holiday transport issues, metro closures, and difficult parking. When I noticed the class was on a short break, I politely and quietly asked whether I might be able to join at that point without disrupting the class. Instead of responding directly, the teacher called out to reception, shouting “Jossy!!!!”, essentially passing the matter off to her. Then multiple reception staff raised their voices and spoke to me very sharply from across the room saying, “You cannot get in the class, you are too late,” as if I didn’t understand English. It was very humiliating and embarrassing. I told them I understood the rule — I was simply asking a question while everyone is taking water break not to disturb the class, but they didn't acknowledge what I was trying to say and only repeated the rules in a very condescending and hostile manner. I had left my bag inside and was booked for the next class, but Jossy sharply questioned why I needed to go in, treating me as if I were trying to sneak into the class. They eventually told me "why don't you take your bag and wait in the cafe area?" The teacher’s dismissive attitude, combined with Jossy and the reception staff’s aggressive behavior, made the experience humiliating and unnecessary. The late policy itself is fair, but the teacher’s and reception staff’s attitudes were completely disrespectful. If you’re considering the $99 first-timer offer, especially on weekends, be aware that this location is difficult to access, parking is frustrating, and staff can be unnecessarily hostile. And if you’re even slightly over the cutoff, you may find the experience more stressful than enjoyable. I will not be returning.
