TAEKWONDO - Burnside - World Taekwondo Oriental Sports Academy

My son (13) has been attending this Burnside Taekwondo with Master Carol. Master Carol is encouraging and patient. She has time always at the end of during the session to instruct. She is very supportive of different learning styles. Every lesson will have you doing something new to help you grow and adapt. When there are grading, she has kindly done one of these after one of the lessons as my son was not quite ready - she took the extra time to show him the moves, we recorded them and practiced at home. Altogether a great group and community of teenagers and adults making for a really good and fun time.

The trainers(Sensei’s) are very helpful and my daughter is learning something new in every class. She is levelling up on her belts and she says she has a lot of fun. Her patterns are interesting and fun to watch and she takes great pride executing them. They do a lot of fitness exercises in the class as well. Overall, she has gained confidence and a certain level of discipline after starting Taekwondo.

Our almost 8yo has started at the club in the last 12 months and has really enjoyed himself in the juniors classes. He throughly enjoys himself during training. Although there is a sense of repetition in learning techniques and patterns, Master Carol and Instructor Aaron make it different enough every session to keep everyone keen and coming back for more. He trains as often as we let him and has just recently been really excited to get along to some competition training on top. He’s keen to pursue competition which the training itself has boosted his confidence so much and let him put some of his lessons into practice with some contact sparring. If you’re looking for a pressure free club to come and do a trial at I’d recommend WTKD at Burnside. 👍🏼

Excellent club that caters for all ages and abilities. Great instructors who are very welcoming. The training helps develop mind, body and spirit. So happy to have kept up my training with this community for the past 6 years.

Very great teaching from instructors, very friendly Taekwondo Master and great atmosphere. Me and my dad have been learning here for several years until we both have red belts now.
