I sent my child to come here to play volleyball on last Thursday. It was my first time visiting this sports centre and I was a bit shocked by the scale of this sports complex in South Australia. I lived in Sydney for a few years before relocation to SA, I don't think there is any community sports complex has similar scale comparable to this ARC Compbelltown (except the Olympic Park which was used for 2000 Olympic games). They have swimming pools, gym room, squash courts (5 nos.), multi-purpose sports courts (5 nos.), and community meeting rooms etc. There is a small cafe too. I love to see so many people especially the young generations love doing exercises in this huge sports centre. I will encourage my child to come here more often to do more exercises in this sports centre👍
Small gym, but very clean and modern. Lockers are small which means you can’t hang a suit. Otherwise excellent facilities including a fully equipped cafe with decent coffee.
Really great for babies & kids. Huge splash zone. Nice and warm. I love that they allow kids to bring toys, noodles, floaties, buckets, sinkys, etc BUT I think allowing water guns is a step too far, kids are careless with them and inevitably shoot people and other kids in the face which is rude and sometimes dangerous for young kids.
Used to be a pool member here. The pool is great, sauna great but small. The major problem here though is the changing rooms. It’s almost like they were an after thought - they are so small. The men’s changing room with shower has bench space for maybe 6 people. And you have to walk though people getting changed to get to the toilets. The family changing room can’t even take 1 pram. The benches in there are an absolute joke and there’s 2 small cubical showers. it’s the closest toilets to the pool so people are constantly coming in whilst your trying to get the kids changed. On weekdays you have primary school teachers propping the door open so their kids can continuously use the toilets safely. The only decent changing rooms don’t have showers or toilets. Can’t comment on the women’s changing rooms. Maybe that’s where all the space went? Poor planning from the architects.
Terrible pool, dirty all the time with all different rubbish at the bottum of the pool. Unprofessional staff, did not know how to deal with various incidents. Even the fridge temperature from the cafe was way much higher than food safety regulation. How could this business keep operating without being stopped?
