The Avenue Children's Centre & Kindergarten

The Avenue is like a home away from home for my son. He feels at ease and supported; he learns and thrives through play, educational activities and bush kinder adventures; he has a sense of responsibility and importance through daily tasks like being the lunch monitor; he gains confidence by presenting something fun at news day; his body is nourished by the incredible meals served daily (often including ingredients grown by the children); he tries all sorts of new foods that he'd never touch at home; and his absolute adoration of the teachers is testament to just how much the childcare you choose needs to feel like an extension of your family. If you're looking for a space where your child can enjoy being the best version of themselves in these crucial early years, I encourage you to consider The Avenue.

I have found The Avenue to be the most caring, homely environment for my three young boys. It is the kind of environment they can explore, grow, be creative and get close to nature all in one place. I love the fact they offer a Bush Kinder program at the 4 year old kinder level. The staff are all amazingly caring and there is a real sense of community given the Centre's long history in the area and small size. Highly recommend for babies all the way up to kinder programs.

I couldn't be happier with the care my twin boys receives at the Avenue !From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming environment made us feel right at home. The staff is incredibly compassionate and attentive, always taking the time to engage with each child individually.

The Avenue is a great community childcare, the programs they run like bush kinder, art sessions, Spanish and jungle gym are my daughter's favourites. We have been part of The Avenue family for more than 6 years with our 2 girls attending, and there's nothing I would change about this centre. The community we have built around it with parents and educators is so valuable to us. I highly recommend this centre.

Amazing caring Centre. My child loves being here, the staff retention is remarkable which in itself is a testament to the quality of the place. You walk in there and feel part of a community, The staff know all the kids and their families and the kids enjoy being there. I love how old fashioned and loving the atmosphere is. Highly recommend it. It would be tragedy to loose it to councils plans to build a formulaic, massive Centre.
