Twistarz is a really special gym to be a part of. Both my girls have gone through the rec program and now are in the competition teams and their love for gymnastics continues to grow. My girls love going and they have made great friendships there. The coaches make it so much fun and are always thinking of creative ways to build the girls skills and form connection & teamwork. During the competition season the girls were so well supported and thrived. The community at Twistarz is lovely too with everyone cheering and supporting each other’s child along. The owner Emma is amazing and knows what it’s like to be a gym parent so she really understands what’s important. I love coming a little early and getting to watch my girls learning and be a part of this special season in their lives. I would 100% recommend Twistarz.

Fun, relaxed yet outcomes focused culture for kids and young adults to thrive in. Coaches have a lot to offer to children in general and with ADHD & ASD. Coaches connect, smile, hug, listen, help kids with mental blocks when trying new skills which I have not witnessed in other gyms. Kudos to Management for instilling such beautiful atmosphere for kids/adults to learn, play and grow.... thank you, Emma!

All 3 of my children with 3 very different needs all participate in Gymnastics at Twistarz (and have for 2 years now) from the kindergym program through to the recreational program and now in the competition program. After trialing a range of different clubs, we loved the vibe we got from Twistarz. Professional but very welcoming and accomodating. All the coaches have been more than just approachable, they are very friendly (but firm in a kind way when needed) and the children love them. Admin is always accomodating and takes each situation individually and fairly and is always prompt with answering / dealing with requests. We could not be happier with our choice of Twistarz as our gymnastics club at all levels!

If you have a neurodivergent child - avoid Twistarz!! I am incredibly disappointed by our experience at Twistarz. We attended to help ease my neurodivergent daughter into social activities and build her confidence in group settings. Before attending, I had already explained that she may need me nearby initially while settling in due to anxiety and difficulty separating in unfamiliar environments. From the moment we arrived, the environment felt extremely overcrowded and disorganised. No one greeted us or explained how the session worked. Staff appeared disengaged and unsure, and communication throughout the class was poor. When my daughter became upset during activities, I stayed nearby to help regulate and support her so she could participate successfully. Despite previously discussing this with staff, we were eventually approached and told we either had to return to the waiting area or leave. I was absolutely mortified. I ended up carrying two crying children out into the rain while trying not to cry myself. My daughter was heartbroken and confused, and my son became distressed seeing what was happening. We all cried the entire drive home, which has never happened after an activity before. What hurts most is that we attended through a Play On voucher program specifically aimed at helping children build confidence and social participation. Instead of feeling supported or accommodated, we were made to feel like we did not belong there. I completely understand that businesses have policies and boundaries, but there is a compassionate and respectful way to handle families, especially when neurodivergent children are involved. Sadly, that was not our experience.

This place is definitely not worth the amount of money they charge. At any one time there is 10 coaches standing doing nothing with there arms crossed, while 2-3 other coaches are doing everything. Is that why the fees are high?
