The building is an important part of Cottesloe heritage but it is boarded up and must not be allowed to fall into the hands of greedy developers, wanting to push it over to build more horrendous high rise buildings. I hope that this grand old building is not treated as a cash-cow to be milked for all it is worth. If ownership should be conditional upon restoring the building to it's original condition. It should be acquired with a view to community activities such as art, music, & creativity . It is the kind of building that deserves saving for future generations

WAFDC supports families and children with significant hearing disabilities. Based in the old impressive old Deaf School building, they are also custodians of a lovely old building that now needs significant work to restore and allow its continued role supporting the Deaf and hard of hearing community. As an example, BHA.WA - Better Hearing Australia (WA) are currently based here too, but State and Local governments need to properly support organisations in buildings like this. They have plans and income streams in place, but no decisions yet. Disclosure: Im a supporter of these organisations, if you didnt guess.
