WestSwim (Swim School)

We’ve tried three different swim schools, and West Swim is by far the best. One of the standout differences is the longer class times – this means the kids make faster progress, and there’s no stress if they’re hesitant to get in at the start. There’s still plenty of time for them to get something valuable out of the session, even if it takes a few minutes to settle. The staff have been incredibly kind and thoughtful. My son was very nervous when he first started, and they went out of their way to make it a positive experience. They arranged for him to begin with a private instructor in a separate pool to help him build confidence, and then transitioned him seamlessly into his regular class. Since then, he’s joined in happily and without hesitation. But what really sets West Swim apart is the quality of the teachers. They’re genuinely happy to be there, actively engaged with each child, and provide real-time feedback. They’re not just standing on the sidelines – they’re watching closely, encouraging, and even having fun with the kids. That positive energy makes a huge difference. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend!

Both my children attend westswim. We moved here because my son (4) refused to swim with his old swim teacher. A friend recommended Westswim and even just in his trial he was a very happy learner, willing to try almost all of the things the instructor suggested. For both my children, the instructors have been fantastic and encouraging. All I hear from my four year old when he’s in the pool are giggles, so he’s clearly happy to learn :). The app is a godsend, very easy to use and put in absences and make up lessons. It’s really easy to book both kids at the same time in different sessions. Assessments are fairly regular and I can actually see the improvement in my children’s swimming and attitude to swimming. Very happy parent here.

I couldn’t be more impressed with WestSwim—it’s been a fantastic experience from day one and a clear standout compared to other swim centres we’ve tried. In fact, we’ve been so happy with the experience that I’m now considering it as a long-term option for my daughter’s high school years. The app is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to reschedule classes up to an hour before start time, with a wide range of class times available. The facilities are clearly signed and well organised, and the staff are always present—engaging with parents, offering support, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Another huge plus is the ability to track your child’s progress directly through the app. At our previous swim school, my daughter didn’t progress once in over 12 months. Since switching to WestSwim, she’s already advanced twice in just six months. Truly couldn’t fault it if I tried—5/5 experience across the board.

Amazing experience and very professional instructors that make the learning process fun. I enjoy the private lessons and I've seen drastic improvements in my swimming since joining. We love westswim! It's been a really positive swimming experience for our 3 kids. The 45 minute lessons are great to get that bit of extra time in the pool and all of our kids seem to be progressing well. All the instructors have been great with the kids and administration staff are also really helpful and friendly :) we are really happy here and would highly recommend this swim school :)
