Yushukan Applied Karate

I have trained in a number of martial arts since I was young with a particular love of Goju Ryu & I have to say it’s not always easy to find good instruction in the art. Sam at Yushukan has a passion for the art that is at once evident. His ability to teach at a high level for beginners or advanced students is quite rare. If you are a serious practitioner or someone new to the art I highly recommend Training under Yushukan.

I have had the privilege of learning so many attributes from Sensei Sam Seigers not only in his ability of teaching Karate but also his character and the way he conducts himself as a person. I have known Sensei Sam since 2009 and to me personally he is a credit to his profession in and outside of the dojo where he continues to excel in his ability to inspire and motivate. His general technique and his method of teaching is second to none. I have always been inspired to learn more from him as his enthusiasm shines through which excites me about learning more. When learning anything new its always good to have a teacher that leads by example .Thank you Sensei Sam for making me feel inspired about learning karate and the general life skills we learn from it. My 8 year old son has recently started with Yushukan, he loves the lessons and I can see his technique and style improving. Sensei Doug has so much experience and expertise, he is able to hone in on what needs work while keeping the class fun and engaging.
